ABOUT US / PTML HISTORY

Ports and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) is a subsidiary of the Grimaldi Group (www.grimaldi.napoli.it), and commenced operations in 2008, as the first new port development in Lagos since the construction of Tin Can Island. The opening of PTML was a decisive factor in eliminating port congestion and improving efficiency in Lagos port.

Since inception, we have introduced a range of world-class handling solutions which in conjunction with our own state-of-the art digital platform, provide the highest levels of safety and efficiency for both shipside and terminal operations. With our own independent Customs Command solely dedicated to PTML, we have been providing seamless integration, which greatly facilitates cargo clearance and export.  


Over the years, PTML has made several significant investments and further expanded its capacity, growing beyond the port limits over a dedicated Off-Dock Facility at Mile 2 where cargo is transferred seamlessly through a regular barge service with the presence of Customs and other governmental authorities. Today, we have a combined port area of 45 hectares.
